Humanitarian aid to North Korea, including food and fertilizer, was actively carried out, and Koreans from both sides of the border freely traveled to and from Mt. Geumgang. In order to increase the productivity of North Korean agriculture, the two Koreas offered support in the form of materials and supplies, distributed seed potato cultivation technology, and farmed together at a joint farm in Mount Geumgang and Kaesong. Although there may have been some clumsy and sloppy aspects to this collaboration due to the alienation caused by years of living under different systems, it was a very precious meeting and experience that allowed us to even see into the future of post-unification agriculture from a wider perspective.
