For political geography, she has worked on the the political dynamics in the process of place-making for a place of memories, new towns, urban regeneration, and eco-cities. She has also developed the notion of spatial capability and adaptive preferences in terms of negotiation, governance, and immigrants\u2019 lives. She has been linking the politics of globalisation and the lives of immigrants including Joseonjok, North Koreans, South Koreans, Sri Lankan, and Vietnamese.
