Kim, Hak-Jae

Research interests : Historical Sociology, the Korean War, Peace Research

Hak-Jae, Kim (Historical Sociology) is working as an assistant professor (HK) at IPUS. He also worked as a postdoctoral research fellow at the Graduate School of East Asian Studies in the Freie Universität Berlin. His recent publications are The Origins of the Panmunjom regime : The Korean War and liberal peace projects (Seoul: Humanitas, 2015), ‘On the Contestation between two different legal traditions: The diffusion process of socio-economic rights in the Korean Constitutions(1948-1987)(2015)’ and ‘The Presidential Emergency Order during the Korean War and Legislation of the State of Exception’ (2011)
