Book Introduction
This book focuses on religious experience within North Korea, during the process of defection, and resettlement in South Korea.
The book began with the aim of looking at how North Korean society maintains socialist ideology that denies religion. At the same time, it looks at how the religious characteristics of North Koreans appear in their daily lives, and also looks into the religion-related experiences of North Korean defectors in more detail. To that end, the authors attempted to identify North Korea’s policies on religion and find a point where religions are related to changes in North Korean society.
